Dunsbury Park
Portsmouth City Council is requesting £3.241m from the Solent Freeport Seed Capital fund towards total project costs of £4.971m for the delivery of abnormal works at Dunsbury Park. Dunsbury Park is a major industrial and manufacturing site located in the Borough of Havant.
The enabling works at the site are required to unlock new phases of commercial development, and unlock Plots 4,5 and 6 as well as construct a new shared cycleway/footway.
This consultation will be open for eight weeks from 6 October 2023 – 1 December 2023.

Portsmouth International Port
Portsmouth International Port is requesting £400,000 from the Solent Freeport Seed Capital fund towards total project costs of £600,000 for the delivery of enabling works to create the Customs Zone within the Port boundary.
The components of this project are the demolition of an existing building to create additional storage bays, the upgrade of the Rudmore Square Junction to create a right-hand turn into the Port and the creation of an outdoor secure fenced zone with controlled secure access.

Fawley Waterside Enabling Works
Fawley Waterside Ltd (FWL) is requesting £4.7 million from the Solent Freeport Seed Capital fund towards a total package of £11.95 million for the delivery of enabling works on the Fawley Waterside site, a major commercial and residential development site in the New Forest to bring forward the development at the Northern Quarter. Fawley Waterside is one of the largest brownfield sites in southern England. FWL own the freehold for the site which was a former power station site.
This consultation was open for eight weeks from 19 January 2023 – 16 March 2023 and is now closed.

Solent Maritime Innovation Hub
The Solent LEP, through its subsidiary Maritime UK Solent, is bidding for £400,000 of Solent Freeport Seed Capital Funding to contribute to the creation of a Solent Maritime Innovation Hub – a collaborative space for the Solent maritime sector to convene and network. The requirement is to secure a central location in either Portsmouth or Southampton, on or close to the waterfront and in proximity to Solent Freeport tax and customs sites, with the ability to cluster alongside other innovation assets with good connectivity within the Solent.
This consultation was open for four weeks from 19 January – 16 February 2023 and is now closed.
