Dunsbury Park is a Freeport tax site
Dunsbury Park is now a live tax site. Part of the Portsmouth Gateway Cluster, Dunsbury Park is a key location within the Solent Freeport.
Tax incentives include 100% business rate relief for 5 years, enhanced capital allowances, leasehold stamp duty tax reliefs and 3 years employers NI relief.
Dunsbury Park is an award-winning business park next to the A3(M) on the London/Solent corridor. Owned by Portsmouth City Council, it is a £140m+ project which offers 43 hectares for development for units from 20,000 sq. ft to 200,000 sq. ft. The site also has planning permission for 665,000 sq. ft for manufacturing industrial, distribution and office space. Set in natural parkland, Dunsbury is already home to the global headquarters of outdoor lifestyle clothing brand Fat Face, BioPure international manufacturer of biopharmaceuticals, logistics giant DPD and Volkswagen specialists Breeze Motor Group.
Cllr Ben Dowling, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Economic Developments at Portsmouth City Council said
“This is fantastic news for Portsmouth. The opportunities the Freeport will bring, with Dunsbury Park now live as a tax site, will enable us to attract more advanced manufacturing companies to invest from across the globe and will create more high-tech and highly paid jobs”
The Portsmouth Gateway Cluster also includes a customs zone at Portsmouth International Port and a Customs Site Operator in Portico. The Solent Freeport is expected over 25 years to create around 57,000 jobs and generate £3.6BN of GVA.
